New Valeo Products and Award at Rematec 2025

<h2>Winner of Public Choice Award</h2>
<p>From April 8 to 10, 2025, Valeo took part in Rematec, the world's largest automotive remanufacturing exhibition, held at RAI Amsterdam, Netherlands.</p>
<p>In addition to launching new parts, Valeo won the Public Choice Award for Best Reman, after emerging as the clear winner with a total of 2,057 votes.</p>
<p>The public’s choice award was fully supported by the 2025 Rematec jury, who recognized Valeo as both “a major automotive parts manufacturer and a key player in the aftermarket.” </p>
<p> </p>
<h2>Partnering with Industry Leaders on New Products</h2>
<p>Valeo is now extending its offer to include the remanufacturing of high voltage and electronic parts. </p>
<p>During the week, Valeo presented what is one of the largest ranges of remanufactured products on the market. This included launching three new high-tech reman parts:</p>
<p>In collaboration with Stellantis, Valeo is launching in the first semester of 2025 a remanufactured LED headlamp—the first of its kind from Valeo—along with a display screen developed at Valeo’s Circular Electronics Lab in Nevers, France.</p>
<p>Partnering with The Remakers, Valeo will launch in the second half of 2025 a brand new remanufactured inverter for the Renault Zoe.</p>
<p>Remanufacturing innovations such as these align with a new era of increased electronics in modern vehicles. </p>
<p>In 2024, Valeo also launched on the independent aftermarket a reman pneumatic concentric actuator for commercial vehicles, and in 2025, Valeo will be launching the DQ250 Double Wet Clutch (DWC) covering millions of vehicles.</p>

<h2>Valeo Reman, Good to Better Preserve Resources</h2>
<p>Reman is one of Valeo's key circular initiatives for the aftermarket, and is part of the 'I Care for the Planet' program—Valeo’s commitment to progressively reducing the environmental impact of the automotive aftermarket.</p>
<p>By reusing materials, Valeo’s remanufacturing limits new resource extraction and industrial waste. </p>
<p>At Valeo, remanufactured products include up to 80% of reused materials. With 55 million tonnes of electronic waste generated every year, discarding electronic and electrical parts because of a single faulty component is both wasteful and environmentally unsustainable. </p>
<p>In the words of <strong>Christophe Le Ligné</strong>, Valeo Group R&amp;D VP and Light CTO:</p>
<p>“At Valeo, we are deeply committed to remanufacturing. Our ambition is to double the number of remanufactured products to 2 million by 2030, and, at the same time, we are expanding our range to offer more electric and electronic products. This major milestone will be achieved through our ability at building strong partnerships within our ecosystem, to deliver remanufactured high-tech products.”</p>

<h2>Valeo Reman, as Good as New</h2>
<p>Every manufactured part undergoes the same processes as new ones:</p>
<ul><li>Each collected part is cleaned and disassembled</li>
	<li>Components are individually controlled and then repaired or replaced if needed</li>
	<li>The product is reassembled and tested to stringent automotive standards</li>

<h2>Expanding and Promoting Circular Economy in the Aftermarket</h2>
<p>Valeo’s 40+ years’ experience in remanufacturing electrical and mechanical products includes starters and alternators, compressors, brake calipers, DMF, heavy duty clutches and more recently front camera for passenger cars and even eMotors and Batteries for Ebikes.</p>
<p>Valeo offers online tutorials via its Valeo Tech Academy, including three new interactive modules for workshops. </p>
<p>Its 2025 Reman Partner Program also ranks some European distributors Bronze to Gold, rewarding them with exclusive bonuses, services, and VIP access to events.</p>

<p>The importance of reusing resources cannot be overstated and directly impacts our ability to sustainably meet the needs of current and future generations.</p>
<p>With these thoughts in mind, <strong>Valeo’s Aftermarket sustainability strategy,</strong> <em>I Care 4 the Planet,</em> has put a huge emphasis on the remanufacturing process – a process of which Valeo’s aftermarket division has more than 40 years’ experience; and nowhere is this experience better demonstrated than in the remanufacturing of clutches for commercial vehicles, a component that undergoes some of the toughest conditions of drive line.</p>

<h2>As Good As New</h2>
<p>In a nutshell, remanufacturing is the process of bringing back used products to their original condition through a series of rigorous<strong> inspections, replacement, reassembly </strong>and <strong>test of parts.</strong> In the case of CV clutches, it is a nine-fold process:</p>

<p>  2. They are disassembled</p>
<p>  3. Their components are tested</p>

<p>When completed, Valeo’s remanufactured clutches meet similar performance standards to completely new clutches, yet are<strong> composed of 80% reused materials,</strong> and according to Life Cycle Analysis, have a <strong>reduced carbon footprint of 50% to 80%</strong>. </p>
<p>All this comes about as a result of saving on resources and energy by using readily available materials that don’t need to be extracted and transformed from their raw elements and can be processed in Valeo’s plants in France. </p>
<p>As it stands,<strong> Valeo remanufactures a massive 800,000 car and commercial vehicle parts per year, </strong>but has the ambition to double this figure by 2030.</p>
